GROUP INTRODUCTION
Tak Cheong Enterprise Company was established in 1976 in Hong Kong. The core business was to trade electronic components to capture the very active electronics industrial market, which was growing very fast in Hong Kong. In 1985, the company was re-named and registered as Tak Cheong Electronics Co., Ltd. so as to further expand the business portfolio into a larger volume of electronics components distribution.
In 1997, the company was re-named and registered as Tak Cheong Electronics (Holdings) Company Limited, to re-position the company to become more globalized and to participate in the very fast growing semiconductor industry in China and in the Southeast Asia region. Then, two solely owned subsidiaries were established namely, Tak Cheong Electronics Shanwei Co., Ltd., for high-volume contract manufacturing and Tak Cheong Semiconductor Co., Ltd. as the trading arm in Hong Kong.
Tak Cheong Electronics Shanwei Co., Ltd., established in 1994, is located 200 kilometers North of Hong Kong, at the East Coastal area of China, approximately a 2-hour drive from Hong Kong – Shenzhen border. The factory is built on a very sizable area of 180,000 square meters with self-sufficient facilities. The organization's culture has adopted the most modern manufacturing philosophy, striving for world class quality and commitment to continuous improvement via our zero-based approach.
The facility is IATF16949 and ISO14001 certified. We have professionals focusing on package and technology development and experienced teams sustaining and managing our operations. This is coupled with our established management and quality systems. We are a qualified supplier to several major OEM customers from U.S and Europe. Our package offering consists of Zener, Schottky, Switching and Trigger Glass Sealed Diodes both Axial and Leadless types and Surface-Mount and Through-Hole Plastics packages built in various products technologies such as Bipolars, Schottkys, Mosfets, Triacs, Thyristors, Power Transistors and Rectifiers, both for consumers and automotive applications. Our overall throughput reaches 15,000KK pieces annually.
Tak Cheong Semiconductor Co., Ltd.'s sales and marketing network is based in Hong Kong. It was established in 1995 with a main charter to support the various electronics trading businesses and sales and marketing in the Southeast Asia, Middle East, North America and Europe markets. We continually contribute profitably via vertical integration business model to the overall business of the company.
